Luisa Nardi-Scott is an Australian artist based in Australia working across painting, drawing, and mixed media.

Her work explores abstraction and the figure through layered surfaces, distortion, line, and gesture. Through these processes, her works explore fragments of identity, presence, and concealment. Stains, texture, and restrained mark-making create atmospheric spaces that suggest place and perception rather than depict them directly.

Raised in an Italian family in Australia, Luisa’s background continues to inform her interest in identity and belonging. She studied Fine Arts at TAFE and university before completing a teaching degree, later teaching art in secondary schools where she shared her interest in creativity and visual thinking.

For Luisa, creative practice is inseparable from life. The studio is a space of ongoing observation, process, and making.
